Saving Stuff

As a hard working single mum I've had no choice but to watch every penny in order to make ends meet, stay out of debt and provide for my daughter.  Saving Stuff is basically a collection of ideas gained from my own experience and from various other sources.

It makes me cringe how people have no money sense whatsoever, yet they frequently complain that they can't afford things.  If they made some simple changes then they could save themselves some money and be able to afford the things they want.

I'm sure most of you will agree that there never seems to be enough hours in the day, especially if you have young children.  So wherever I can I try to figure out ways of saving some time doing normal every day tasks.

It's not just about saving money and time. Being kind to the environment is also important to me.  I'm no hippy, but I feel very strongly about recycling and saving energy.  I feel that if we don't do our bit then in 20 or 30 years time some of the resources we take for granted will become scarce and or expensive.  We're back to square one as it happens because then we'll need more money.

Unfortunately I have inherited the trait of being a bit of a hoarder (probably from my dad).  Things tend to get a bit untidy and my partner is always complaining about the mess (he has a bit of an OCD problem!).  Because of this I'm always looking for new ways to de-clutter and organise my surroundings at home to keep the peace!

I hope you will find the information on my website useful and if you have any tips or ideas that you would like to share, then please feel free to submit them to Saving Stuff.
